Situated in the scenic Oak Ridges Moraine in the north end of Greater Metropolitan Toronto, Maple Downs is one of the most picturesque and memorable golf experiences in Southern Ontario.   Designed by William Mitchell, the Club was founded in 1954 by a group of 11 visionaries at a meeting at the Pride of Israel Hall.

For over 40 years, the Club was blessed to have Canadian Golf Legend and Hall of Fame Member Irv Lightstone as its Head Golf Professional.  Irv retired in 2005 leaving a legacy to Maple Downs and a membership that is proud of his tenure and the positions in the industry that many of his assistant professionals have found throughout the years.

With the help of renowned golf course architects Doug Carrick and Graham Cooke, the course has been continually updated with master plan projects and environmental initiatives to keep current with the ever changing golf market place and technology.  Maple Downs is proud to be in Score Golf’s Top 100 ranked courses in Canada.
